We are staying in a 3BR ocean front villa in the new Lahina tower. We are very excited for our Nov 1st trip. Does anyone have a suggestion on which floor to request? We have little kids, 3,4,6 yrs old. Would the ground floor be good? Does in walk out? Does the ground floor have a nice view, or is it obtructed and too noisy?

We have an OF fixed unit in the Lahina Tower, on the first floor. It is a real advantage to be on the first floor because you can walk out onto a large grassy area that would be perfect for your kids. You won't have to take the elavator or go through the lobby. The upper floors might offer a better view - but honestly, we have a nice view of the ocean and the island of Lanai.

The 3 bedrooms are on the corner of the building - either by the pool side or towards the Hyatt. The pool side might pick up some noise, but not too bad.

I would request above Floor 5 to seek the unobstructed view, although Lawlar makes an excellent point about the ability to walk out.

How did you get the 3BR? I would guess it's a defined unit so you may not have any ability to request a different floor, since most (all?) 3BR's are fixed week units. But can't hurt to try.

I own the 4th floor, and have lamented the presence of the the trees which obstruct my views. Would you be willing to see if the corner unit on the 4th floor is still obstructed by trees? (or post a picture???) They may be removing a couple (and I am hopeful!).

Thanks and enjoy your stay!!
