Has anyone stayed at this resort recently? If so the condition of the unit and is it close to the beach. I'm thinking of a 2 bedroom unit. TIA

Maui Lea at Maui Hill
San Diego Country Estates
We own at Maui Lea, but haven't stayed there recently. We've always been very pleased with the condition of the units, love the spaciousness and especially the lanais. The resort sits across the street from the ocean, and some of the units have an "ocean view". Our favorite beach is the one in front of the Maui Prince, which is near Makena, so we end up driving to go to the beach. However, Kameole Beach Park is an easy walk from Maui Lea.

We stayed there in a 2BR, lower unit in March 2008. We like the snorkling beach south of Big Beach, and Big Beach, so we drove there each day. Units were well-kept and spacious. Others at the resort did walk to the beach down the hill and across the street. We enjoyed our time at Maui Hill!
