Massanutten Golf Trip Options

I'm in the early stages of looking at a golf trip with 2-3 friend, likely in late May 2027 and wondering what the best areas of Massanutten would be based on needing 3-4 BR's. Would also appreciate info on level of quality of the rooms. We would likely play at the resort course a time or two and also drive to some other courses in the Harrisonburg area.

Regal Vistas is probably what I'd recommend, book 2 2BR, ask them to be in the same "house" and you get a 4BR house. Very nice units IMO. You'd still need to drive or (if they have a shuttle) take it over to a golf course.

Thanks. Accessing the RCI portal through my HGVC account, they offer 2BR and 4BR options, so it looks like they are combining two 2BR's. That's assuming that there are no tru 4BR's avail in Regal Vista. Any particular reasons you recommend this section?

I am a golfer and I have a friend that used to want to play that game occasionally, but haven't played it in years. When I picked my TUG username I just landed on that for no particular reason.

Well, they're stand-alone houses with 2 2BR units in them. There are garages, and gas grills on the decks. It's all one floor, so you can easily roll in luggage, no stairs or elevators. Really the only noise you hear is from your own unit. I was also told they're the nicest units there, however since then I believe more sections have been renovated. You can open a door between the 2 adjoining units so you can easily walk over to the other side without going outside if you want.

If you can't get Royal Vistas, Woodstone also has 4bdrm suites (2 x 2bdrm lockoff suites). The living room / kitchen area is very spacious and great for gathering if you have a lot of people. Also has 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom.

I guess you know by now, I am not a fan of Bingo/Bango/Bongo golf format.

For players that are not HIGH level players......the Bingo is ok, the Bango a bit less, and the Bongo my least favorite.

Thx…Twin beds are a deal killer for me. Also, I’m getting too old to share a BR with anyone (but my wife) and I’m a sprawler and a twin bed is way too small for me. Im about 5’10” and a different group I travel with has two guys over 6’. I couldn’t do that to them. I looked on VRBO earlier today and found a house with twin bunk beds. Full stop on that one.
