Martinique; Diamant Beach Club

We are going to Martinique for a week 3/11/06. Have been to many islands in the Caribbean but this is the first for Martinique.
Anyone have any 'pearls of wisdom' either for the island or the Diamant Beach Club?

Hi,

We stayed there in the late 90's (I posted a reveiw) when the resort was brand new. We loved the island but did wish that we could speak a bit more French. They were all polite, but it would have helped. If you don't speak any French, I would suggest you take a class for travellers (if you have time) or at least bring a book with you.

Anyway, the review says it all. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any specific questions. And, just so you won't be startled, if you wear both halves of your two piece swimsuit on the beach, you'll be the only one!

Thanks for the 'heads up'!! I won't be in a two piece with both pieces.......so guess I will be 'alone'!!!! Oh well.............

Anxious to try a bit of French I might remember from high school days. And that was a long time ago!!

Do you know anything about that 4 X 4 tour? Looks like fun.
