Why don't you just call Marriott?

You don't need the number. They are all electronic. It should show up in your account. If you go back and look at activity over the last few months, it should be there as a transaction.

When you call Marriott reservations, they'll use it if you ask them to.

Don't reserve with the local hotel. They won't be able to help with an electronic certificate.

I concur. Call Marriott to make a reservation and ask to use the certificate.

You can find it in your Marriott Rewards account. Go to your online account "Activity" and, in the dropdown boxes, select "Last 13 months" and "All transactions". The certificate should show up under "Requested Rewards" as "PREMIER VISA ANNIV 1-5 HOTELS".

I used my e-certificate just a few weeks ago. I was able to do everything online. I don't remember the exact step but I believe I selected the "Use Marriott Rewards point" to make the reservation. At the end of the process it asked if I wanted to use the certificate. If all else fails, call the reservations line. :)
