We were in room 4712 and it was updated-didn't like that they have the L shaped couch in front of the windows-blocks the view!! And, since there is a significant space between the couch and the windows there was a bunch of trash (soda bottle, candy wrappers, chip bag) that the cleaning staff missed or didn't think to look for. I personally don't care for the updated look.
We will be there in March and hope that you notified the staff and they will look behind the couches before we arrive! Any way to rearrange the furniture?

We’ve been through many redesigns since purchasing in ‘99.

Your opinion on this one is shared by many. Color scheme is nice but the sofa and banquet are forced into space where they don’t fit. Is the monster coffee table still there?

How about the table and chairs on the patio?Their heights don’t match up. Does anyone actually sit on the pieces before ordering?

No. Everything is oversized.

Not really-the one part of the couch is the sleeper part and I think it's attached together. Plus, it would be very heavy to lift I think.

Yes, the monster coffee table is still there-also very heavy to move. Funny thing about the outdoor table-while we were there, the winds blew 35-40mph for 5 days straight! The wind was so powerful that it tossed the table upside down on the balcony! I'm just glad it didn't fly off the balcony since it was the 7th floor!

FYI if not already posted... The older MVC wristbands still working at Ocean Pointe for now. New system coming later. No more new for sale though. Don't throw out... Yet. There now.

Hope they keep the wristband program. Love not having to dig out a card key every time you go through a gate to the pool or beach or get on an elevator. 🤞

Good to know. We'll be there in March and always use the wristbands. If they go to the new system I hope they give us credit for the purchase of the ones we have now and not charge for the new ones.

regarding wristbands…..I am at Cypress Harbour and new door locks are being installed. The old wristbands do not work. They are charging $5 to replace a wristband. ( you give them your old one and pay $5 to get a new one)
At the moment the front gate and fitness centre still use the old keys/wrist bands. I was told they would be the last to be converted once all the rooms are done.

Thank you. That's probably the way it will work throughout the properties. I'll update once we're at Ocean Pointe in March.

Also, regarding wristbands, I spoke to someone at the front desk on Thursday who told me they have had no problems with reprogramming the wristbands and she was unaware of any program to replace them at this time. We arrive in 10 days, if I learn anything different I will repost.
