Greetings to all; i have trade in for Frenchmans Cove, using my summer Harbour Pt week. Logic as well as use charts would indicate this should not be that difficult a trade but we hate to book early airfare without a confirmation in hand.
Should i be worried ????? or just patient.

Thanks in advance to all who reply and Happy New Years.

You should just add details to your original post rather than creating an almost duplicate second post, btw.

To answer your question- you "should" be able to get the trade, but keep in mind that a unit needs to be deposited and you need to be able to match it. If you get your airfare in advance you not only need to match the week, but the check-in day- always a risk. If you purchase air first, you should have a back-up- a cancellable reservation in place just in case. Personally, unless you were using FF miles, I'd strongly consider waiting before making airline reservations.

Not a very built out resort. Not a very high demand/quality trading resort
One shot is partial off-season

We exchanged into Frenchman's Cove last May using a Silver Season Marriott Hilton Head week during Flexchange. I would think you have a good chance of getting an exchange. If the week you want to exchange into includes Memorial Day, it might be a little harder.

I also think that you have a good chance for exchanging into Frenchman's Cove. I have always gotten the exchanges that I wanted using our summer Harbour Point week. We exchanged HP for a mid July 2008 week at Marriott's Newport Coast Villas. When did you make the request? Was it 12 months out?

Sorry for the double and maybe triple post; i never saw my original message posted and i got the TUG message that my BBS password or some such thing was out of date so i kept posting; god knows how many i did.

I did my request about 10-11 months out.
