My son will be in Miami for 6 weeks and wondering if it makes sense to stay at the Marriott timeshares. II has availability for his last 3 weeks but wanted to reflect any daily tax, if any, upon checkout. The Marriott villas at doral

No resort fees or taxes. Unless he charges something to the villa, the balance at checkout will be $0.

The Villas at Doral usually have availability, which is great. Regarding taxes, there might be a daily resort fee or taxes added at checkout, so it's good to clarify those details upfront to avoid surprises. Enjoy Miami!

No Marriott Vacation Clubs charge a resort fee. (Hotels are another story entirely)

Some resorts, such as Surf Club in Aruba, have daily “environmental fees”. A little over $100 for the week. This is used by the government to keep the island environment clean and healthy.

Yes there are resorts that are required by their local governments to collect mandatory taxes and fees. This is different from a resort fee charged by (and pocketed by) a property.
