I believe this will be the first quarterly earnings report since the spin-off, so it may prove revealing.

Good to know. It'll be interesting to see how TUGgers dissect and analyze whatever comes out of the call. There have been a couple posts lately about construction starting up again in March at Grand Chateau; maybe we'll get official confirmation about that sort of thing. Thanks for the heads-up.

Don't remember hearing anything about this March 15th conference call. But I did find an interesting tidbit in a thread over on the Starwood board, where during their quarterly call a questioner prefaced his remarks with, "Given the success of the Marriott Vacation spinoff ..."

Does this mean the spin-off is thus far seen to be a success by the industry or am I reading too much into it? Or something else?

So far Wall Street seems to like the future prospects. Cantor-Fitzgerald just initiated coverage with a BUY recommendation and a price target of $38.00. Since inception the stock price has increased 66%.

it's really too early to tell how it's going to perform down the road but so far it's doing well. As far as the change in the business model is concerned from fewer large sales (weeks) to a lot of small sales (points) I think it's succeeding.
