Afternoon,
I just got this timeshare, which Im not sure why I got it. I wondering how to get off from it, and when I called the exit team because over the briefing the lady stated that i need to call MVC first before resale or something like that. I call the department and now they said the only way is, if the timeshare is paid in full. Of course you only have 10 days grace period as soon you signed.
Due to Medical circumstances i need to let this go.
Have anyone have problem with this?
By the way:
My timeshare is Flex, you are not attach to a week or so.

I know several resale companies call, but afraid of scam.
Exit , not sure if damage my credit score.

When did you make the purchase? You have 10 days to rescind in Florida. If you are still within your recession period you just need to follow the instructions in your contract to rescind. Basically just requires a certified letter sent to the proper address

No, honestly is pass that time. I got it on Apr. 2024 and got all the documents by May or Jun.
I shouldn't do it, but between pressure and having the fam at the pool, I didn't think right. Now Medical expenses became a priority.
Find a way to resale, I guess because MVC wont get it, because I still owe. Not sure what to do other than I definitely want to get rid of it.
Either resale to site such as sellmytimeshatrenow.com or exit program .

It's too late for second thoughts. DO NOT use sellmytimesharenow!!! That would be throwing money away.

Unfortunately once your recession period has passed your options are very limited.

1- Pay off your loan as quickly as possible to save on interest and learn to use what you have purchased to the fullest.
2- Default on your loan and accept the credit consequences of that.
3- Pay off you loan and then dispose of the ownership by giving it back to Marriott or selling for little to nothing depending on specifically what you own.

DO NOT fall victim to a timeshare exit scam. Any company that wants a large upfront payment is just going to take your money and you will still be a timeshare owner. There are no such things as legitimate timeshare exit companies. Outfits like sellmytimesharenow will promise you the world to get your money and then do nothing to help you. Don't fall for it! They prey on desperate individuals who are not thinking clearly.

Thanks for the information.
At this point , I've been asking around on options, but i value your input.

I concur with jwalk. No easy way out. Either default and take whatever hit to your credit or pay it off. If you pay it off you'll get a dramatically reduced amount if you sell and depending on what it is, you may get little to nothing back. If you can afford to keep it, paying it off and learning to use it may be the best long term option.

If you are asking any company about options to get rid of your timeshare they will almost certainly lie and tell you they can take care of the problem. That they have fixed this for hundreds of owners. All you need to do is pay them $$$$ and they will make your problem go away. Do not believe them. If you do you will fall victim for a second time.

If you owe on a loan, any resale option is a scam. Sheraton Flex has $0 resale value.
