I’m planning to book a One-Bedroom at Marriott Timber Lodge with Abound points, there’s two categories, Standard and Lockoff, which one is better? What room placement should I request?

There is very little difference between the lockoff and the standard 1br, we regularly stay in both.

I would request a pool view, not on the top floor, Alpine building, in that order. Although the resort is at the foot of the mountain, the mountain side rooms take in the street view more than the Mountain View in my opinion. The top floor rooms can have a strange geometry and may be darker. We honestly don’t make requests here, it’s more about what happens outside the room. Location location location :)

There are very few balconies here, though I think some of the 2nd floor 1brs have a patio poolside.. At Grand Residence next door most of the 1brs have a balcony. But you’ll have a queen bed instead of a king.

Check the resort updates, Timberlodge has been in renovations mode. Hasn’t been too bad.
