Two weeks ago when I was trying to acquaint myself with the Marriott reservation web site I accidentally clicked on confirm rather than cancel which confirmed me into a two bedroom villa for Feb. 4-11. I immediately realized my mistake and called customer's service. The reservation was cancelled and I have a cancellation number. Unfortunately the web site never got the message that I cancelled and it continues to show "Occupy" for my two bedroom. When I click it on it shows that I am confirmed on that reservation. This was two weeks ago! I cannot check out any other possible availability while this exists. I have called customer's service at least five times since then and all I hear is yes, that reservation has been cancelled but that it takes time to change this. I am so frustrated!!

I've had the same thing happen with cancelled reservations. The computer system just doesn't update immediately. Sometimes the delay was more than one week. Just hold onto your cancellation number and have customer service do your searching. It's your only alternative.
