Currently on a 18 minute wait while trying to make a multiple week 13 month reservation with MVCI. It took about 12 minutes to get through as I kept getting fast busy signals and recordings that the system was so overloaded that they were unable to take my call. Hope I get the weeks I am wanting.

Good luck to others who may be experiencing the same situation.

Finally got through and got the 2 weeks I was wanting in Maui and the 1 week I was hoping for at Shadow Ridge for March 2013. My call was somehow disconnected but I had communicated the dates for the second resort just before we were disconnected. I got a email confirmation on both reservations so I was happy the VOA completed the reservation even though I was not on the line at the time.

Glad it worked out! You must have been SO frustrated when you got disconnected. You would think that since they have your number they would have called you back.

I thought at the time I would get a call back from them but the reality of the situation was that Marriott was way too busy at the time to do so. When I say the email confirmation I was pleased enough and glad they were focusing on other owner's requests.

I Was online for a 12 month reservation this morning at 9:00am (EST) and the system was crawling. Too about 4 mintes to display page to select unit and another 6 minutes to show availability. Must be the season as 13 month reservations are aproaching spring break 2013.

Hi Everyone!

I, too, was in the Marriott call pool this morning! SO happy it sounds like a lot of us finally got the rez we were looking for today!! :cheer:

As for being able to call right back when there is a disconnect, having worked in a very similar call center, I can tell you that their phones are programmed to have the next call jump in live to the advisor the very moment that disconnect happens, or of course, whenever you complete your call. The advisor is generally able to select (depending on their phone system and what they call the commands), "Not Ready", or "Busy", to keep another call from coming in until they finish work on the transaction(s). BUT most call centers are very watchful of how many times an advisor uses those options, as the powers that be want as many calls turned over as quickly as possible. So do all of us, of course, but not before we're through booking our much awaited rez, yes? ;)

But in case you ever wondered, that is often the reason they cannot call you right back.

I guess I was either lucky yesterday or there are a lot fewer resorts with Thursday check-ins, but my page literally refreshed at 9:00:00. Matter of fact, I must have been so fast that I just noticed my confirmation is at 14:00:00 GMT and the time on my email is 9:00. So yesterday things were instantaneous.

Mid-January when I was making my reservation call from a cell phone while on the road in a sketchy reception area, the first thing I asked the agent to do was call me back if we got disconnected. I didn't want to get through with 1/2 of my reservations only to get disconnected and have to get through the queue again.
