My Scheduled changed and now the week I reserved [details removed] I can't use.
I still have enough week on deposit for upcoming trips.
Was thinking about renting but have never done.
Does anyone know best way to rent?
Have seen mixed reviews on Marriott direct, but I don't really have time to mess with this.

Has anyone else tried to rent out [their Marriott week]?

[Details not necessary for the question removed, to prevent this post from turning into a rental ad. Makai Guy, BBS Administrator]

The fastest and cleanest way is to call Marriott directly and see if they are interested in taking your week for rent. Under the new program if they accept the week they send you a check immediately and they take the risk of renting it or not having it rent. This is not the most financially advantageous for you however as they will not offer you what you could probably get on the open market by renting it yourself. The only other way is to advertise it on the various web sites such as TUG, Red Week etc.

Marriott Rental

Talked to Marriott.
They only Rent Full-Villas, not lock-off so no luck.
(Can't see any advantage to having Marriott rent full Villa)

So I guess I will rent on my own.

Now, next question -
How do you pick a rate?
Based on what Marriott.com list?
(If they are renting rooms for $299/night what would you rent for?)

What kind of contract do I need and any suggestions?

What kinds of hassle is it to rent?

Is ebay a good place to rent?
(figure tug is not best for value, since most people are smarter here :)

Any other tips from the gurus at TUG?

Thanks Dave

Right after I posted that, I noticed the thread.
Lots of good info.

Thanks.

Still think I may try working on plan C,
Figure out a way to change my schedule so I can still go :)
