Less people can afford to travel means less demand. Rental prices in many cases have fallen and some units that always rented easily haven't rented this year. However, some Tuggers have had success and been happy with their rental rates for next year, so it seems that it has varied quite a bit and probably involves some luck.

If you are looking to rent, there are probably some great deals to be had.

are people really going to be able to get $2,500 for a week in a one bedroom
at the marriot custom house/Boston, Mass in July,2009
or
it is a "Whole new game'

isn't it true that Marriotts resale prices are falling to dramatica levels
that are shocking to many

could this be possible, also with rentals!

Some weeks at some resorts will not be affected. Boston in July very well may be one of them.

This is because the demand is so high for some special weeks and resorts that even if you cut the demand by 50%, you will still find a renter willing to pay the market value. Let's see if that holds up if things get worst into 2009.

moxjo782:

that is a good point! I may not understand how valuable a summer week
at the marriiott Custom house is still worth, even in the worst economy of my lifetime. Is it true, there are very very very few (1) bedroom units
