Marriott Preference in II - Alive

I did a search today with my Windjammer landing for Marriott Newport Coast and there was only one date available. I then did a search with my Marriott Cypress Harbour and was able to see quite a few dates available for exchange as far as September 2012. Very interesting!

Yep. The Marriott preference has been strong lately. We started seeing posts about this a few months ago and now I think it is common knowledge. I still think I am new to timesharing since I have only been doing this for a little over a year. When I started just over a year ago I do not think there was a Marriott preference. For many months everyone (starwood owners just happened to post the most about this) were seeing any new Marriott deposit and there didn't seem to be any Marriott preference. Then, II figured things out or Marriott complained and the preference is back.

With my WorldMark account, I cannot see any new Marriott deposits. If I switch to my Marriott account and use a dummy week (I am all out of my Marriott deposits till next year) I can see much more. Definately makes me wish I had Marriott deposits. Next year should be fun finding exchanges. This year, without the Marriott preference it was not nearly as fun, especially when non Marriott traders were beating me to the great exchanges.
