"Despite the development, Chief Executive Officer Anthony Capuano said business is solid." Not so solid for the over 800!!

Seems like many in the hospitality industry are looking to cut costs. I read Booking Holdings has a hiring freeze, MVC (timeshare company) is looking to cut 50 to 100 million in annual savings over the next year, mostly from automation.

How about robots to deliver extra soap & coffee filters? Maybe AI to sell timeshares? The future looks grand <g>

Is that 800 employees world wide ???

That may not be all that bad unless you are included In that layout figure.

There are over 8,800 Marriott's hotels worldwide.

In Bethesda, MD headquarters, mostly. The vast majority of the hotels are privately owned and just use the Marriott brand through licensing agreement.
