Request poolside, high floor. As an exchanger you likely will get a lower floor, but a poolside ocean view is much nicer, since to the N the units face the ocean and the hotel and to the S the ocean and the Surf Club, and esp. further back and/or lower floors really have impeded views.

Thank you so much for the response. I had stayed at the surf club 2 years ago in April. Got lucky with a room on 11th floor (I think) with great view. So this year I put in an exchange for both again and got Ocean Club. I wasn't sure of the lay out. Thanks again.

The OC is set up basically as a 6 floor u-shaped building, and it is between the hotel to the N and the SC to the S. All units are designated either OV or OF, although real ocean views are somewhat blocked in many cases by buildings (the hotel or the SC), foliage and palapas. The interior facing villas (poolside) generally have a nicer view, since even if you are on a lower floor you'll still be facing the pool of the OC, although now on the N side you'd also see the new hotel pool.
