I am trying to rent a Marriott studio unit with no luck. If I am unable to rent, I plan to late deposit the unit with Interval 15 days ahead of check-in. I understand that the unit will trade in Flexchange. Do I still get the Marriott priority for trading purposes?

Yes. but within flexchange the priority period is much shorter than usual.

Yes- but just double check when the absolute last day to deposit is. I am not sure if there are certain holidays that aren't counted; the reason I say this is that last year I had to deposit a 1/4 check-in week last minute due to an emergency and it was deposited on Dec. 16th and my friend (who took care of the transaction for me) was told it had to be done that day or they wouldn't accept it. I don't know if she was given misinformation or whether Christmas and New Year's had anything to do with the day count.

The II T&C seem clear that II will accept a week up until 14 calendar days before the commencement date of the week being deposited. No mention of holidays or weekends is mentioned in that section of the T&C.

The "Marriott priority" period can be as short as 3 days during Flexchange. Thus, you and other Marriott owners might be able to see and confirm another Marriott owner's deposit for as few as three days before II members searching with a non-Marriott week can see it. Most likely, the priority period will be close to the full 24 days at about 59 days before check-in for that deposited week and would likely be three days if that week is deposited about three weeks before check-in.

Thanks Dave for clarifying that. It seemed strange to me at the time when my friend was told that it had to be done that day or it wouldn't be accepted, since it was 18 days beforehand, but since it wasn't an issue I never checked into it. Just proves the point that if you don't get the answer you want from the first person, it frequently pays to make another phone call.
