We're planning a 2nd week back to Kuai and it's been about 10 years since we stayed at this MVCI property.

Has anyone visited in the last year? We're curious if they've done any upgrading to the property. The pool was fantastic, good food on property and the beach good for what we like to do.

We weren't impressed with the Poipu grounds and the newer Kuai Lagoons requires a shuttle to get to the beach. Not what we're looking for.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Week 1 is in Ko'Olina and a real good spot.

Stayed there last February and it was as nice as ever. The refurbished units are nice. My son thought the Murphy bed was very comfortable.

I actually enjoy every Marriott property on Kaua'i, each for its own unique reason!!

I'm sure you'll have a great trip!!

thanks for the comments. What size unit did you have (how many bedrooms)? Do you happen to know if Murphy Beds are standard in the rooms now?

We’ve exchanged into the Kauai Beach Club 12 times in the last 19 years. We were there last year. The property is always well maintained. Most times we’ve lucked out with an ocean front unit. We’ve had a couple of ocean view units and a couple of garden units. Each stay has been great. We’ve always stayed in a 1 bedroom unit. We leave next week for another stay – ocean front unit again. It is one of our favorite resorts. Have a great trip!

I think KBC is the one of the worst MVCI timeshares of the 30 I have stayed at. This is because of the villas, as the rest of the property, the restaurants and the other resort facilities are very nice. The villas have been refurbished but in my opinion are a substandard hotel conversion to say the least. Some will disagree of course. Kauai Lagoons, on the other hand, has probably the very best villas in the whole MVCI system.
