If you own Marriott Grand Chateau, where have you been able to exchange using II? How hard is it to go to a nice II elite resort in Hawaii and the Caribbean as a Grand Chateau owner? Are there any other inexpensive Marriott EOY lockoffs you would recommend that would be good traders for II elite resorts? What about the ones in Palm Desert?

We own a 3 bedroom. We've exchanged into Barony Beach Club, Kauai Beach Club and Custom House. Currently we have a request in for several of the Hawaiian resorts for spring 2019. We've always kicked off and exchange each side separately

We own a 2 BR platinum and over the years, have gotten spring break or winter break to Portugal, Grand Cayman, Belize, Greece (summer), Phuket (summer), Aruba (December), Curacao (February) and St. Kitts (February).

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm looking into buying a 2bd Lockoff at the Grand Chateau as well to primarily use for trade. For the exchanges you listed above, did you deposit the entire 2 bedroom or were you able to use the LO portion yourself and also get those exchanges. Thanks for taking it easy on me as I am new to the timeshare world and trying to learn as much as I can.
Ideally, I would like to either rent the LO and exchange the 1bdrm side for a nice trade or use the LO once a year and exchange the 1-bdrm side. Is that a smart plan, or would it be best just to exchange the entire 2-bdrm to gain the most trading power? Ideally, I'd be looking for a 2-bdrm in the Caribbean like Aruba Surf Club or Ocean Club anytime in late May to through all of August if possible.
