Marriott Encore Presentation Re-scheduled

We had a presentation package that we purchased for Washington, DC. We were supposed to go in April, but not possible because of the virus. We re-scheduled for September. We got a call from sales today, and they offered to do the presentation over the phone this week. We would still go to DC in the fall, but not have to do the presentation. They are saying the prices are ridiculously low right now, and they want to make sure that we get these prices. It will be about an hour on the phone, and no presentation while on our trip. Anyone else had this ridiculously low offer?

So they get what they want and you may need to cancel your upcoming trip due to Covid. How kind of them. If it were me I would be happy to have a phone presentation AFTER the trip.

Alternatively, I would tell tell that I would be happy to take presentation now if they are able to extend my trip to mid-2022 when we know it is safe to travel again.

Heading down to Oceana Palms in November on a Encore and DC points for extra days..did you take DC POINTS...the AMEX gift card or the 50,000 Bonvoy points?

Hi..I believe the Encore package would be extended a year from your travel date in 2020...if travel is not safe the time of the presentation

since I’ve bought all of my timeshares at home, I don’t see any down sides to doing the presentation by phone. It’s convenient for you. Your not held hostage. You determine the time and the day. You’re in the driver’s seat. I got great incentives too. You can probably reconfigure your trip dates too. There’s no down sides that I can see.

To me it seems like a win-win: You don't have to take up valuable time while on your vacation to do the presentation, the phone presentation is most likely more flexible to schedule and lower pressure, and you'll be helping to keep their sales staff employed during this difficult time.
As for the "ridiculously low offer," I wouldn't hold my breath...

I have an encore presentation during next ski season. I don't want to come down the mountain and waste 2-3 hours of ski time. I'd rather do the presentation now rather than during my stay.

I think we will take the 50,000 points. I don't remember how much the AMEX was for. We are have never used the DC points with Marriott.

We had an Encore reservation for Newport Coast scheduled for this Memorial Day weekend that we cancelled. It was supped to expire at the end of June 2020. When we cancelled it, we were told it was extended to the third week in December 2020. When I called to beg for an extension to June 2021, I was told the Encore package is good until the third week in December 2021.

we did an encore package when we went to Crystal Shores in Marco Island last year...we opted for the 650 DC POINTS...it covered the 2 extra nights we stayed using DC POINTS..Crystal Shores is a beautiful resort

We vacationed at Crystal Shores using a encore package last year..we stayed 2 extra nights using DC POINTS...after the sales presentation we opted for the 650 DC POINTS...that covered the 2 extra nights...Crystal Shores is a beautiful resort in a great location in beautiful Marco Island

I tried to do my sales presentation virtually at San Diego Pulse, but they claimed to know nothing about such presentations. Seemed to say sales staff had been furloughed. Anybody know more about virtual sales presentations?
