Planning a visit later this year to meet family from San Diego in Palm Springs.
Would those that own at MDS (original) be kind enough to confirm if 1 bedroom amenities include a washer/dryer? So W/D in 1 and 2 bdrm. villas, correct?

These seem to be fairly large units and even look similar in design to Sabal Palms in Orlando (sunken floor) where we visited last year.
What would be potential quiet building and room locations there? We always request high floor units.
Appreciate any other info from your experience of the resort. Desert Springs I seemed preferred by many based on what I reviewed here on TUG. Thanks!

The studio side, has two double beds, is basically a large hotel room with small appliances. It is about 600sf.

The one "bedroom", has full kitchen, stacking washer/dryer, king size bed and large balcony overlooking the golf course or lagoon. It is about 1100sf I'd guess.

Units are either ground floor or second floor (2 flights of steps). No elevators, have to hoof it up and down.

Villas I will get you access to the spa, mon to fri and the attached salt water pool.

Great spot, we have been back twice a year since 2012.

You'll enjoy it!

I own at both DSV1 and DSV2. I like them both.

I prefer bldgs. N through X. I avoid getting any fronting Cook Street.

We like DSV1 in the fall because they have gas log fireplaces :) Also they have really generous lanai's.

If you can't get an exchange with DSV1, consider DSV2. They are similar but they are a bit smaller by a little bit and no fireplace.

Some also suggest avoiding the buildings that line the golf course directly across from the JW. Apparently you can hear the noise from the air conditioning units at the hotel. I have never stayed in those buildings, so I don't have any personal experience with it.

The resort is very nice. Enjoy.

Didn't visit TUG site over the weekend.
Thanks to all replies. Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

We have a MVC owner discounted reservation booked for DSV I, 1 BR villa, for dates we need in early Fall 2016. Nightly rates seem reasonable to me.
Not sure If I'll use points to book this as we have other Club travel planned and I'd rather not borrow my points from next year so will probably pay$.
