I booked a Christmas week at DSVII for its easy access to JW (got a 1-bed at DSVII and ditched 2-beds at Shadow Ridge so we had pretty high expectation for JW, lol). Is the shuttle the easiest way to get into JW and how frequent it runs? I am also curious if I can just walk to JW, especially if I later e-Plus into DSVI, which looks really close to JW but separated by the greens. If I have to drive, how much is the parking and is it easy to find at JW? Thanks if you share your experience and any building preference too.

Only DSVI provides access to the JW. No access when staying at DSV II.

Are you sure? Things changed? I read there is a shuttle service between DSV I, DSV II and JW. Only the spa room is closed to DSV II, other amenities should be accessible.

I will be there in a few weeks and plan to ask about this as I want to confirm myself. We've stayed in DSVII before and have used the pool at the JW. I don't recall if our room keys worked at the hotel pool gates or if the gates were just unlocked. I was recently told that there is no parking fees at the JW. The gate arms for the parking lots at the JW have been permanently up for a few years. So you can drive over and park without any issues.

The shuttle will take you from either DSVI or DSVII to the JW and back. You could simply be going to eat at the hotel restaurants. Though we have worn bathing suits over. You can also catch the shuttle in the DSVI side, so the drivers don't know or care whether you are from DSVI or II.

As for walking, you can do it. There is a road/path from the far side of DSVI over to the hotel. They say not to walk on the golf course, and you shouldn't. But I know that people have.

The only issue may be that they may be more strict about access of DSVII guests during peak seasons. I will have some new videos from the resort and if I learn anything new I will be sure to provide updated information.

yeah if I could, I will e-Plus into DSVI. Enjoy your trip! Did you book it with AC? My ACs can pull these.

We used an AC into DSVII. We had an exchange into DSVI, but when DSVII became available on an AC, we retraded that out into a placeholder and booked DSVII with the AC.

Yeah, great value. my ACs are good 45 days out so I will wait till Nov to see if it gives me a surprise. BTW, my e-PLUS expires 1 year after the current check-in date. When you move to a placeholder as far as you can, does the expiration date automatically extend? (to the new check-in date?)

The expiration date on Eplus never changes. It is always one year after the original exchange.
