I have a 7 day category 7 hotel certificate I'm only going to be able to use for two of the 7 days. Would Marriott have a problem with me letting friends come a stay for the other 5 days? I hate to see it go to waste.
I agree. It's your timeshare week. You can have anyone you want occupy any part of that week.
However, you will likely want to schedule a clean-up, including a change in linens and towels, for the the day you change occupants. The people who occupy it first should schedule the cleaning. There is a fee. Make sure you agree with your friends as to who will pay that fee.
Just give your friends the key. Tell the front desk to settle up with you when you leave and then have your friends give another cc to pay for their incidentals when they check in. I have done it numerous times at the Marriott Fairways. They are used to splitting weeks among relatives who come down for the weekend and those that can stay for the weeknights. I think the hotels would be more used to it than the timeshares.
Yes, but housekeping won't change the linens unless they are asked to do so. I would simply remove the linens on the way out the door and call housekeeping to make sure they know you need new ones.
Thanks for the information. I was somewhat uneasy about this since I've never done that before and my friends are travelling all the way to Hawaii to oocupy the hotel room. I'm moving to the Maui Ocean Club from the hotel.
Should I give the hotel my friends name before I arrive or simply let them know later after they arrive to occupy the remaining days?
