Since Marriott has purchased the Hyatt Timeshare/II system, why aren’t Hyatt owners receiving any communication from Marriott explaining their system and ownership options? It still seems that all onsite presentations concern the portfolio program only.

The systems are not integrated. At the last annual meeting Marriott stated their focus is on the integration of MVC and Vistana/Sheraton. They literally drew a line between those and Hyatt to show we would not be part of it (yet..?)

Nothing is integrated yet. The acquisition is at the parent company level - ILG. Marriott sales folks have consistently said that there will not be an integration with Hyatt timeshare.

My salesperson hypothesized that Marriott may rebrand Hyatt. He was just hypothesizing and said he did not know anything about their plans as nothing has been released to sales yet. However, I though his hypothesis was interesting because I had the same hypothesis. Take the Hyatt name off the resorts and re-brand them.

What makes this more interesting is that when I got my phone call last week from Windward Pointe (staying there this next week) the caller who wanted me to attend the Hyatt Update Presentation (sales pitch), I was told that there would be updated information concerning the integration with Marriott. I guess that is misleading, if there is no integration at the timeshare level.

I wondered if they would rebrand. Since MVC has to pay, Hyatt for brand licensing, wouldn’t it be cheaper to rebrand.
