Where is the closest Grocery Store to

Marriott’s Ocean Pointe

Anything else we should know about the resort and the area?

The easiest one to find is a Publix at the north end of the island where A1A crosses US 1. Be sure to go in Carmine's, a gormet market on PGA Blvd.

We just returned from Ocean Pointe. A Publix is also just over the bridge on Blue Heron Rd. Short drive and seemed very clean.

Wasn't aware that the new Publix on Blue Heron was open yet. It was just a shell last Feb/Mar.
Most of the larger supermarkets (Publix, WinnDixie) are aways away...and a car is necessary. However, there is a small independent store on the island called the Greator-Gator and they have many if not most basic needs.
Is it a modern up to date Super Center?...no!
But they seem to be nice people and although you will pay a few cents more for items...its very convenient.

The Publix on Blue Heron is a very quick drive right over the bridge.
They have indoor parking.

We were there a few weeks ago and this Publix is great for a quck stop to pick up a few items.
