I’ve never stayed at KBC in an ocean view unit and am wondering what building etc would be good to request as an exchanger?

Marriott’s Kauai Beach Club OV building request

There is only one building with an ocean view designation and that is the tower that is behind the swimming pool. I don't remember the name of the tower. There are two buildings with the ocean front designation that are closer to the bay. They are next to Dukes restaurant.

Just be advised that some Marriott resorts honor the view designation on your II confirmation, but others don't, and will place exchangers in less attractive view categories. Since II does not guarantee view, they are within their rights to do this under their agreements with II. I do not know what the policy is at KBC.
I’m actually at KBC right now in an oceanfront unit in the Kilohana building. All three times I’ve stayed here I’ve gotten the view category that I’ve exchanged into. I’m not sure if it’s blind luck but with my 20+ Marriott exchanges into various Hawaiian resorts I’ve always received the exchanged into view category.

how is the weather right now? We will be visiting in December and we are a bit concerned about that. I do not mind a bit of rain for few hours a day, but I hope it won't be worse than that
we were there from Dec 26 to Jan 3 and had sunshine the whole time. The last day it did rain a bit, but we still got a couple of good hours at the beach. It’s really just luck of the draw though.
