Yuk! What a mess. We went to check it out. We first went to where we saw the Wyndham sign, across from the hotel. It turned out to be the vultures nest, sales center. So we headed across the street to the hotel, went to the front desk and said we were Wyndham owner. Suddenly the temperature dropped a good 40 degrees. Talk about the cold shoulder! Said we were wondering where the Wyndham area was located. Reply, Wyndham doesn't own us. Wyndham only books rooms here.
Next question was what size units can we get. Reply studio and a few 1 bdrms. Person behind desk seemed very annoyed, so we left.

The place is an outdoor shipping mall with margaritaville at one end. Valet parking only across a bridge. Saw several people walking across the bridge with luggage. Accrossthat bridge is a huge parking lot, with margaritaville's lot just across bridge. Lot is so big it has a trolley system to take people back and forth.

Long story short, no way would I want to stay there.

We stayed here and had an enjoyable stay. No one ever approached us for an update, and we didn't have to go to the appt setters to get a parking pass. Staff was very friendly and we were staying on our points.

Thank goodness we didn't have our son with use, because the 1BR has only a microwave and mini-fridge. We could not afford to feed him without being able to have a stocked fridge and stove. They were really no inexpensive options for food within Margarittaville.

We spent our time doing free wine tastings and my husband enjoyed the free moonshine tasting.

Would go back, but never with kids.

The Great Smokies Lodge is a fantastic resort for families, and is the best option for Wyndham owners in the Gatlinburg area (in my opinion)...
