We are staying at Mardi Gras Manor in NOLA. Where can we safely park! I have a new car and I'm afraid of where we will park.

I recommend calling (during working hours).

I stayed there pre-Katrina and they had a garage a block or so away that would hold maybe a dozen cars. I took a chance and parked on the street until someone came in the office the next day.

Don't remember the cost.

That new car will get a dent sooner or later...what better time than Mardi Gras

Easy for me to say, Im driving my 15 yo car and Avenue Plaza where Im staying this week, has a parking garage on site for their guests

Call the resort and ask for their recommendations, or google New Orleans Parking, there are lots of covered garages in town Hopefully one will have a spot for you close by.

Let us know how you do, I curious as to whether they raise prices significantly for Mardi Gras.

At the airport?

I would have NEVER driven anything other than a cash-for-clunker car to ANY BIG CITY stay.

Haha

We're in NOLA this week too. We're driving an older car too and just parking it on the street.

If you have a new car don't you also have full coverage insurance? I would just park where it's legal to park.

We are here now at MGM. We parked at Harrahs. If you get a rewards card and gamble for 30 minutes the parking is free. Day 1, we gambled $5.22 on the slots. Better than $20 parking fee. Day 2, we got even wiser! 66 cents to park. Played.02 cent slot machines while playing around on my phone. Played very slow. Wait a few minutes after playing, scan the rewards card and it will tell you if you have been granted free parking! Great strategy.
