Who would have priority calling at 12 months (I believe this is the earliest you can reserve?). A SDO owner weeks 1-52 or a platinum weeks 1-21, 50-52? Or does it just depend who calls first? How hard is it to get a March week if calling right away? thanx, Dawn

Hi Dawn,

I am a week 1-52 SDO owner and have never had any trouble getting my requested March week when I call 12 months out. One time I even called 10 months out without a problem.

I think the true platinum owners and week 1-52 floaters owners are treated equally in terms of getting a March week.

FWIW, I've found that many SDO owners (like me) book a prime March week at the 12 month mark, and then try to "improve" their reservation by booking something else (like WKV, or Maui) when the 8 month StarOption booking window opens.

Accordingly, if you are skunked getting the SDO week you want at the 12 month mark, remember to try again at the 8 month mark, after the folks that beat you to that desired SDO week dump it in favor of the StarOption trade they snagged.

It's whoever calls first at 12 mos. out at 9 am ET.

Is there normally any March availability at 8 months out? Sometime I might like to go down for Cactus League Spring Training-but I suspect a lot of others might as well.

If you requalify/retro an SDO resale purchase, you would get 148,100 StarOptions for a "true" platinum (weeks 1-21 & 50-52 floater); you would get only 81,000 StarOptions for a weeks 1-52 floater.

Another Tugger just made an SDO Resv. and the only thing she was able to get in March was either the first week or last week of the month. And I believe we are at 8 mos. now. She's a SDO owner, but the deed just recorded, so she couldn't reserve at 12 mos.
