I think I would be pretty upset if the MC was renting units for cheaper than maintenance fees. But after reviewing the Travelzoo deal you posted, I went to Expedia to see what I could get for an arbitrary week at the end of January. Apparently it's not just Travelzoo that found the bargain. Take a look at the link below:


So to answer your question, I'd say Yes, apparently there is a lot of availability at that time of year. But then, NYC weather at that time of year can be pretty rough. But if you want to stay in New York at that time of year and not spend too much, it may be an option. :shrug:

It's an economical way for them to get fresh tour prospects into the building at a time when they have lower occupancy rates.
