Does anyone know anything about Makai Club Cottages? There are several auctions on ebay right now and no TUG reviews. I don't recall seeing them on ebay until recently.

Thanks Denise!
I couldn't find those reviews yesterday...
The new "look" of the databases will take me a little time to get used to I guess.

I haven't checked the reviews, so this might already be covered, but...

The Makai Club and the Makai Club cottages are not the same. From everyone I have ever talked to about the two, I understand that the cottages are much nicer than the general club. I have no first hand info, so all I can say when reading the reviews is to keep that in mind. You will probably be reading that Makai Club is the bottom of Princeville timeshares... at least that is what I have heard dozens of times. But, I have never heard anyone dog the cottages. Having said that, keep in mind that however nice they might be, they don't offer ocean views, but some have said they offer a nice setting otherwise.

We stayed there on our first Hawaii trip, probably 6 years ago. They are very large and have two large master bedroom suites. They are on a golf course. At the time they needed furniture updating, but we really enjoyed the peaceful location.

More info

The Makai Club Cottages have a nice view overlooking kind of a valley. They are located to the left as you are driving in to the Princeville Hotel. The makai Club condos apparently aren't very nice.....from what I have heard, they have gotten quite rundown. But although the the Makai Club Cottages could use some "polish", I was very comfortable there.....and yes, they are large, free-standing units.
