Paying MVC maintenance fees with a Marriott card counts as "Marriott spend" with 6 points per dollar using the Chase Marriott card. My recollection is I didn't get the :hotel spend" using the Hyatt card to pay my Hyatt maintenance fees. Can anyone confirm (or hopefully tell me I'm wrong)? TYIA

I have gotten it at least a couple of times this year as I have prepaid maintenance fees.

I use the Hyatt credit card to pay the Hyatt maintenance fees and receive 4x points per $1 spent. You will not receive the 9x points per $1 spent. You will also get any promotion Chase is offering for spend at Hyatt (ie, this month it’s 10% back, max of $25 for me).

i also use the Hyatt CC to pay MFs and do get 4 points per $ spent. The card pays for itself with just with the free night - but this is another bonus with paying the MFs.
