Apologies if this is an old topic, but a brief search did not turn it up....
We own an Every Other Year 2-BR unit at San Luis Obispo. Every year we are assessed more than 50% of the Every Year MF for the same unit, which I can somewhat understand. I can also understand that the bylaws say that EOY owners pay an additional markup of 6.25%. However, every year they are marking it up by twice that much (12.5%). I called and talked with someone in the office last year, but they didn't seem to even understand the question. Can anyone else explain or point me to someone in the organization who can? TIA

Im going to hazard a guess

This resort one of a group of resorts that have joined together in a loose affiliation called "Preferred Status Exchange" as an owner at one of the resorts in the group, you can exchange into the others

heres the website http://www.pseresorts.com/home.htm

Im going to guess that the 6.25% surcharge is to fund the administration of that exchange network. and that all owners pay it every year. whether annual owners or eoy owners.
