Does anyone know if there are any rules governing how much a resort can raise your maintenance fee every year? I'm under the impression they cannot raise it more then 8% from the previous year.

What resort? There is no rule across all timeshare properties. There may or may not be anything in the CC&R document related to this. That would mean there is no limit.

If you are looking at one of your Mexican TS that info would be in your contract. Funny thing is your maximum increase rate may not be the same as someone else's rate. Very few US timeshares ever put in a maximum increase clause and when they do it would be universal for all owners.
