Madge -- Trading Power??

This is the second time this question posted. Posting it again does not get you a faster response. Madge works up from the bottom (older ) posts.

This is a question that is addressed in the FAQs and has also been the subject of much discussion on this board. I sugges that, if you are not satisfied by the response to the FAQ, that you do a search on trading power. You will have many pages of posts to pick from.

My husband and I are 20-year owners at Oceantime (Ocean City, MD) and have spacebanked every year except one. We have always spacebanked early (2-years in advance) in order to get good trades and have been quite successful.

But now a representative from our new management group is trying to tell us that the timing of your spacebanking has no effect on trade power. Here is a quote from him (via e-mail) "If RCI is informing you that to Maximize your trading power you need to deposit 2 years in advance they are the ones misleading you. Your trading power is based on: Unit Size, Location, Segment, and Season."

So who is correct? Does spacebanking early have an effect on trading power?
