I had my RCI points account set up a few months ago and I live in California. The instance exchange vacations are such a great deal for us if we can find anything in California, Nevada or Oregon. However, everytime I saw something at any of these locations and try to book it online, I always received the message "This resort might have been booked. Please try other reservation options." I then called the VG and asked about the unit, but they couldn't never find anything for these locations at all.

I have tried other locations including Florida, South Carolina...and few other locations and I actually could hold the units for 24 hours. I just wonder if there is something that I didn't do right in term of searching and booking online for instant exchange availablities in these particular areas.

I recently responded to this issue here. However, I have mostly heard of this problem occurring with international resorts.

Would you please send an e-mail to feedback@rci.com with TUG in the subject line? Please include some of the resorts you have seen available and tried to book. The Communications Team can then try to track down the specific units/resorts that are showing online and hopefully get to the bottom of why this is happening.
