I have a large rolling suitcase that has not yet been used for plane travel. Its dimensions are under 62 inches if the wheels and handles are not included and a few inches over if they are. Would this piece if luggage be considered oversized and subject to additional fees?

Thanks.

It depends on the airline. Because you show your location as Georgia, I took a guess that Delta might be your airline. Their website lists oversize as 63" to 80". You are probably in luck. Now to hold it under 50 lbs. or it will be $90 domestic or $75 int'l.

BUT - we just flew Jet Blue from Boston and it was a small plane - seats were two on each side - and the overhead was smaller than normal. We gate checked a piece that we had no trouble fitting in the overhead on a "normal" sized plane.
