Okay, I'll start a thread of my own.
I'm in the process of learning about the Wyndham point system, and TS in general. I'm interested in buying an EOY at KBV mainly for personal use on the resale market. I understand now that there are many forms of ownership, converted and unconverted, fixed, and floating. And there are benefits for owning a points TS, and there is a cost involved if one has to convert to a points based TS.
So heres a listing for a points TS. Its an EOY and the points are 66800 annual. I have seen references to TS that confer annual points in range of 200k-300k points. Which makes this seem low.

For this particular unit in this market, is this a low point/high MF unit. Given that I'm not going to be using it to trade, would it be possible that there are other units in this resort that are assigned more points, and if that were so, then, I would probably be better off looking for something with more points.

I think the point numbers you are referring to are "RCI points", not Wyndham points. You could ask any seller of the KBV to tell you what point system they are in, and I'll bet you almost all will say RCI points.

Also, when they say 66,800 "annual" points, that is the amount of points you will get on the Years of usage, NOT every year.

There are so many different kinds of points. Are Wyndham points the same as Fairshare Plus points? I think that UDI points are another system altogether. So the question is, how does RCI points fit in? Aren't RCI and Wyndham part of the same organization? It sounds like the owner of an unconverted TS has the choice of converting to RCI points or Wyndham points.
So is it true that RCI points would trade within the RCI system, just like Wyndham points trade within that system? Is there any cross system trading, where a certain number of RCI points would exchange for another number or Wyndham points? And what about trading between RCI points and RCI weeks?
I know, too many questions.

There will be NO points with this purchase because PAHIO has a special arrangement with RCI that points will not transfer in the sale. Yep, it's what they do. Wyndham and PAHIO are now the same scumbag company, too. :ignore:

People buy floating weeks from PAHIO first, years ago, then they get these sorry owners signed up for RCI points, because it is better, and then they make an agreement with Wyndham, so a new scam of selling Wyndham points for way too much is the greener grass they are selling.

It seems the scams never end, and the resale values are cut to nothing by the developer (or Wyndham corporate), because the benefits the developers sold to the original buyer (or converter of weeks to points) do not transfer to that resale buyer.
