If you have enough points to fly anywhere -- where would you go? -- domestic or international?

We want to use those points before credit card company increases the # of points needed or does away with points.

Why don't you donate some to military enlistees or military families so they can visit loved ones affordably?

We put some points aside, just in case our daughter can visit her husband, who will be deploying to Iraq later this month.

We are puppyraisers for Guide Dogs of America -- they accept points to help cover the cost of their students flying to CA for training. They provide fully trained guide dogs to blind people at no cost.

Just looked at AX reward points catalog -- we thought we had a lot of points until I saw that some of the cruises take 2,000,000 points. So.. my idea of lots of points is probably different than yours.

How about Australia? It is still one of my favorite places.

That was going to be my suggestion. I still haven't made it there and hope to at some point.

I am no expert on this, but isn't it true that flying to Hawaii is good use of points? We have used points twice to go there (once first class and once economy class) and thought it was good value...

Yes, I would agree that using FF miles to Hawaii, especially from the Eastern U.S., is an effective use of points. With fares often exceeding $900, an economy award ticket using 35,000 FF miles is relatively inexpensive.
