Not much good news for interisland airlines. GO should be raking it in, but losing money. The stock went from $9 a share to 50 cents a share in the last two years and they still have a court hearing with Yucapia (Aloha's former owners) in October. Hawaiian flights were full while GO ran around 75% full. Hawaiian did make a profit, but not much.

So the question is, when and at what price will more people travel to only one island to avoid interisland trips.

Despite the shutdown of Aloha Airlines in March, losses at go! doubled during the airline's latest quarter.

Go! posted operating losses of $7.4 million during the three months ending June 30, 2008, which was up from a $3.7 million loss in the year-earlier period.

The red ink at go! was enough to bring down the overall performance of the airline's parent, Phoenix-based Mesa Air Group. Mesa said it lost $3.2 million during its third quarter.

I would think these results would be expected!

With the airlines high cost now many people just can not go to Hawaii!

The people that do probably now go to one island and that is it for the week.

Just look at all the available units at cheap pricing right now.

II has three pages of getaways to the Islands and great prices for one and two bedroom units in good resorts.
