Need to go to a conference in LA early March next year. Except for NCV do I have any other options?

Thanks.

You didn't say where in LA, however it wouldn't be my first choice if you had to drive there every day. Unless you were leaving at 5 in the morning it could take a couple hours each way to go about 50 miles.

If you are going to be near LAX, I suggest staying at a hotel there. I'd only bother with a timeshare in Orange County if the conference was in Orange County.

Stayed at the Marina del Rey Marriott a couple years ago. Not too far from LAX, a short walk to Venice Beach...hotel is in a nice area overlooking the Marina. It might be worth checking out.

Do you have MR points where you could do a travel package??

I do a conference in the LA area every other year and I don't stay at my timeshares, it's just too far to drive. Stay at the hotel where the conference is being held. It will make everything easier.

I live in Newport Beach and drove to LA on a Sunday which is the lightest freeway traffic day and up and back tired me out. Just get a room. Maybe you have some hotel points? But it is hard to beat taking your Hotel elevator down to your
conference.

Thanks

Thank you for everybody's input. I think I will stay at The J.W at LA live if I can. My problem is that all rooms are currently unavailable for the Saturday and Sunday. A travel package could work. We reside in Cincinnati at the moment. How would the travel package work? I can remember there is a 5 night package which might come in handy as we only need 5 nights. Also I guess if there are no rooms then the package will not be any good anyway.

I wouldn't stay at a "resort level" timeshare unless I was going to have an opportunity to use the facilities.

You might indicate where in "LA" you are going to be. It's a mighty large area.

There is also a Marriott Courtyard and Residence inn in a building right across the street from the JW.

+1

Where's the conference? Downtown LA? Santa Monica? LAX? Century City? City of Industry (I can't believe vendors choose this area, but some do)? Irvine (yes, some vendors call this LA...and they're nuts)? You want to pick a hotel near the conference.
