Los Abrigados Resort & Spa

We have a week stay booked at the Sheraton Desert Oasis in Scottsdale for a week, and there also happens to be an availability for a week at Los Abrigados Resort & Spa the following week. Thinking about tying the two weeks together....if anyone has stayed at Los Abrigados in June, I would like to know how it was. Their website says they host day camps for kids during the summer, and reading previous reviews on TripAdvisor and TUG do corroborate this. I have two kids of my own so I don't really mind, plus the camp kids would generally be gone after 6pm anyways. Is it really noisy at the pools with the camp kids there? Generally the reviews seem to be quite positive. Recommendations for the best rooms? (Other than 'away from the noisy kids at the pool')?

P.S. If we do this, we'd likely save Flagstaff and Grand Canyon legs of the vacation for the week we're in Sedona, and we do plan to do the Pink Jeep tour, Out of Africa and Slide Rock. My kids are 10 years old (girl) and 2 1/2 years old (boy). Thanks.

I'll let you know by the end of Sept. We are at Los Abrigados Sept 6 and then Marriott's Canyon Villas the next week. We're following the University of Georgia "DAWGS" as they play AZ State on the 20th.

We stayed there a few years ago and our one bedroom was very tiny with a tiny kitchenet. Had to put the coffee pot in the bathroom when cooking breakfast. No room on the tiny counter. But the resort was lovely and no other complaints. I had the feeling that all units were NOT the same so maybe some are bigger. Ours was listed as a one bedroom tho. It will be HOT in Sedona in June, but you probably know that, and not as HOT as Scottsdale. Still you'll have nice pools and air conditioning.
My kids LIKE Phoenix/Scotsdale in the summer, but too hot for me. Lots to do tho and you'll have fun. Hope someone else can tell you about the size of units in Loa Abrigados.
