appears that the hyatt subforum has reached the level where it should get moved to its own main level forum on TUG. Ill see if i can take care of this here this week!

would need input from others if there is another system that could take its place here as a subforum of the "all other" forum itself, id considered welk but thats likely pointless given the latest news and itll fold into the hyatt forum soon enough!

thoughts?

I would second Tradewinds just to learn more about that one myself. I don't own there, but am interested.

Vacation Village is one that I own several weeks with (Massanutten, The Colonies, and VV Williamsburg). I'm kind of on the fence on whether it should have it's own subforum because it doesn't really have an internal exchange system like most of the others seem to. There is a reduced intra-VV exchange fee in RCI for weeks between VV resorts, but no real method to go to a different resort than the one you own without using RCI (or II for the dual-affiliated ones). On the other hand, there is a lot of good to know information on the VV extra vacation certificates, Massanutten's Trading Power Boost program and a few other things. I wouldn't object to one being set up, but it's not high on my list of wants.

Four Seasons and Westgate I don't have an opinion on.

Other options I'd think about would include Grand Pacific, which has its own exchange system. IMHO, the ones that are more apt to benefit from a subforum are those that have exchanges, though that might not be worth using as a strict criterion. It just seems to me that without one, its not truly a "timeshare system" but instead a timeshare company.

I, too, would like to see a Vacation Village sub-forum. Between discounted internal exchanges via RCI, multi-level membership, extra certificates of different redemption windows tied to those membership levels, and special offers either from specific resort affiliates or across all affiliates there's a lot to learn and discuss. Plus, they are unique in that they work tightly with RCI to enable and manage these items unlike other systems like Hyatt, Marriott, Worldmark/Wyndam, etc. I think that RCI relationship alone would help others learn more about how to use RCI to their best advantage.

I would like to see a sub forum for Grand Pacific.
Sounds like you are too late. One of the other subs will have to grow up to "big boy" status before another new one is added.

not particularly, i do limit the "major" categories to systems that have at least 1000 threads or very close (ie hyatt is at like 970 or something like that).

i tend to base it on popularity of the topic more than anything. in actuality with under 100 total threads on the entire forum, VV is at the very low end for what would qualify for needing its own forum, but if it grows that will be fantastic!
