Holiday Inn Vacation Club has a location in Galveston. Maybe look into buying points there? Even resale from the three resorts where points transfer resale wouldn't be free, but isn't that expensive and adds a lot of flexibility compared to owning a single week. So if one year you wanted to go to Orlando/Scottsdale/Vegas etc instead it would be easy. YMMV, but might be worth looking in to.
