I'm looking for a Hawaii Wyndham unit with a full kitchen. (The kitchen is very important to us as we have to deal with some severe food allergies)

Perhaps you can help narrow my search, as you are familiar with Wyndham. We're looking for something away from the urban areas, we'd like to find some natural waterfalls to swim in, we prefer to avoid the converted high-rise hotel structures when we can, we don't really like lots of young kids, and we don't have to be oceanfront. Seclusion is nice for us, I guess.

Does that ring any bells in the Hawaii Wyndham world?

Thanks

John - I think you want to go to Kauai.

We love our Wyndham Kauai Beach Villas Resort, the resort is ocean front on a very quiet beach.

Think TWICE about the swimming in the waterfall thing - Leptospirosis in Hawaii

Besides the Lepto, I think swimming in waterfalls is very over-rated:
1) The water is cold
2) The water is muddy from being all stirred up
3) Wood, rocks, and other debris sometimes come over the waterfall and conk people on the head
4) The ocean is warm and clear

Don't forget to check out the TUG Reviews for Kauai Wyndham Resorts. Some may still be listed under Pahio, instead of Wyndham.

(Pahio) Kauai Beach Villas
(Pahio) The Shearwater
(Pahio) Bali Hai Villas
(Pahio) Ka 'Eo Kai

Here is the link to the webpage for the 4 resorts.

Oops, I forgot there are actually 6 Wyndhams on Kauai if you include the MaKai Club and Makai Club Cottages. The MaKais have kitchens, too. They're located in Princeville along with 3 of the other Wyndham (former Pahio) properties---and a bunch of other resorts.

Hawaii - Pahio / Wyndham

We've stayed at the Pahio Ka'Eo Kai and it had most of a kitchen, but no oven with only a 2 burner stove.

We own at the Pahio Bali Hai and all the units had very nice kitchens. We're a family of 6 and the kitchens were plenty spacious. Everything full sized traditional; refrigerator / freezer, stove & oven, microwave. Plenty of cupboards and counter space.

We stayed in Ka'Eo Kai in July. A 2 bedroom unit, It was huge!!, a full kitchen with everything including a jennaire grill. It's in Princeville, quiet, can walk to a beach, but pretty steep to walk back up.
