Are there properties with private docks or boathouses?
Jet Skis and power boats allowed?
Great fishing?

Lake Placid Club Lodges in NY is right across from Mirror Lake.

We visited in March a few years ago (thru RCI.) We've always said we would go back in the summer but haven't done that yet.

Things to do/places to visit:
- Activities on Mirror Lake (varies by season)... when we visited, the lake was frozen solid and we watched people dog-sledding across the lake (from the warmth of our living room... by the fireplace). There is also a Toboggan Shute on the lake
- Olympic sites (including the Lake Placid Olympic Museum)
- High Falls Gorge - waterfalls were frozen while we were there. It was a fascinating site
- Montreal Canada (I think it was approx 2 hr drive)

Also checkout Spinnaker's Bluewater Resort on Hilton Head Island, SC... it's at the north end of the island on Skull Creek. The resort has a private dock for those who want to bring a boat. They have kayaks for guests to use (no charge) and you can fish from the dock also.

It's not available thru RCI, it trades thru II... and usually has rentals available on redweek.com.

Just got back from Lake Placid Club Lodges. Mirror Lake is a short walk from the units. Boat rentals are available in town, also walking distance. There are no gas powered boats permitted.
Lake Placid is a longer walk or short drive. You can rent motorboats there. There is also a marina and boat ramp.

I've never stayed at either but know Lake George well. We have friends who rent at the Lodges and it's really nice.

Diamond (soon to be Hilton Vacations Club) has lakefront resorts at South Lake Tahoe. I've never stayed at these resorts so cannot speak to the amenities or the conditions of the resorts themselves but Lake Tahoe is iconic. Hilton will be upscaling and renovating a number of Diamond Properties to HGVC standards, however we don't know which ones yet.

There are also Marriott properties in S Lake Tahoe but not waterfront.

Boyne mountain mountain run Bluegreen resort has free kayaks at the deer lake just the other side of ski mountain and there's a public boat launch there. Also lake Charlevoix is just a few miles away in Boyne city a very large beautiful lake that's connected to lake Michigan through round lake and a 1/8 mile channel. You can park your boat trailer in the overflow lot right at the resort.

I saw this resort driving to HHI on the backroads. Please observe the speed limits on the backroads in SC. The SC State Trooper do not play.

How about something on Lake of the Ozarks in MO? My parents own at Lakewood...nothing fancy, but has direct lake access. We've stayed at Worldmark at the Lake as well. No lake access from there, but great views. Several other properties in the area as well.

Some of the Branson properties are on Table Rock Lake. Again, they are likely nothing fancy, but if lake access is your goal, it would be easy to do there.

We live in Western Canada and Pend O'reille comes to mind along with the WM in Couer D'alene. Meadow Lake has a beach club with boat access I believe but there is a drive of maybe 30 minutes or so. The Delta Grand Okanagan in Kelowna Canada has parking for your boat (in a mad made lagoon) which I think is free. We stayed at Lake Chelan Shores but did not ask if we could have rented a dock there.
