We will arrive at Denver airport December 23, and we will go to the Sheraton Mountain Vista the 27th.

We are not familiar with Denver, we have only stayed at some airport hotels...

Looking for something nice in or around Denver...doesn't necessarily have to be very upscale, but a nice "christmas atmosphere" would be great. Did check Tripadvisor, but still don't get what is a nice area in or around town.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

It won't be inexpensive but I bet the Brown Palace in downtown Denver would be beautiful at Christmas. If you want ed to drive south to Colorado Springs, the Broadmoor would also be a good choice.

The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is picture perfect, plus they have a lovely Christmas show (non-denominational, not religious).
