It appears that this is true, at least for now. I phoned Wyndham after reading the above, and the agent confirmed that there will be no guests until the end of the year unless the owner checks in in person for them. I asked if this could change later in the year, and she said it was possible but unknown at this time. To be more sure, I will phone again in a couple of days and see if I get the same story.

No, I booked the week for the OP and went all the way through the guest cert process to the point of being charged. At the time, the OP had not responded to my PMs so I wasn't going to pay $99 to check it all the way, but it shouldn't lead you down the path.DRIless, did you actually add a guest confirmation to your reservation?
